- As we practice and learn interactions that are effective and that help us achieve our goals, we store them in our memory for future reference and use. It may be for another interaction with the same product, or we may find a similarities with new products and apply what we have learned from prior experiences elsewhere. We previously discussed the different stages of memory in the introductory psychology chapter. Information passes through these stages of memory as we move through the phases of this interaction cycle. During the perceived phase, we process all incoming information and identify the important elements. During the feedback and learn phases, we process information for meaning and associations. And during the remember phase, we store that learned information and skills for future use.
