Opening statement
From the course: The 45-Minute Business Plan
Opening statement
- Before we begin, you'll want to write a brief opening statement to summarize this segment. An example might look like this. This section offers a financial overview of ABC LLC over the next five years. Projections of sales, personnel, profit and loss, balance sheet, and cashflow tables are included with month-by-month illustrations for the first year in the appendix. General economic assumptions and break-even analysis are included. Also offered in this section are the short-term and long-term financial plans of the company. The financial plan makes some critical assumptions that will determine the potential for future success. This is a great starting point for your company summary, but you may want to expand depending on your plan and business needs.
