Creating a mission statement
- When you go to set direction for your organization, you need to clearly articulate your mission. Your mission is why the organization exists. It should be a cultural reflection of your values, your beliefs and the philosophy of the organization. Try to make sure your mission statement is clear, brief and understandable to everyone. Employees and people outside the company. Your mission should clearly specify what business your organization is in and where you compete. And you should word it in a manner such that it can serve as a rallying point for the organization. People should be excited about living that mission.
