Understanding D365 customization

- [Instructor] One of the great things about Dynamics 365 Sales is that you don't need to be a developer or know code to configure it. The application is a low code, no code solution, and can be configured or customized to meet your organization's needs. Configuration means the ability to use the native system tools to make changes to the application without the use of code. Configuration examples include, but are not limited to, sitemap configurations, creating or editing data entry forms, removing or adding fields to a form, creating new views or modifying existing ones, creating new charts or modifying existing ones, and creating or modifying dashboards. On top of that, we can also use tools from the PowerPlatform to extend functionality. For instance, we can use PowerBI, which is a robust reporting tool giving sales managers the ability to create reports using additional data sets outside of Dynamics 365 Sales. We can also use PowerApps. This application lets administrators build custom apps. And lastly, PowerAutomates is also a tool that we can use, which is used to automate processes. So for example, creating an approval process for opportunities or quotes. Dynamics 365 Sales can be configured and customized by using the configuration tools that are included with the application. Administrators can also use PowerPlatform tools to configure and extend the application.
