- [Instructor] Understanding Procreate's tools and interface is essential to your overall experience. The interface is minimal and intuitive, especially when you get used to it. Let's take a look at the three main menus. Starting at the top-right menu, you'll find your painting tools. Tap on the paintbrush, and you can draw or paint with hundreds of the brushes that are included with Procreate's Library. The smudge and erase tools use the same brush library, and will allow you to blend, smudge, erase, or lift paint from your artwork. The Layer tool provides you with amazing flexibility when you're drawing, by allowing you to separate art elements on different layers. And from the color palette, you can select colors, create new palettes, drag and drop the color into your artwork and more. Now, let's take a look at the sidebar controls.
