- [Instructor] Of course, there are going to be times when you're going to need images in your Illustrator files. Either as part of an illustration or as reference, or sometimes even for something to trace over, which is my favorite, I quite often produce my sketches, bring them in and work from there. So let's have a look at how we can place an image into Illustrator. What I'm going to do is use the place command, which is Shift + Cmd + P. That would be Shift + Ctrl P on Windows, or File and Place. So what I'm going to do here is I'm going to bring in this Photoshop file, leaves.psd. I'm going to make sure it's linked, and I'm going to leave show import options on. Although I don't think there will be any for this file, and indeed there are not.
