- [Instructor] A fun thing about creating a Google site is the use of components. You can drag items around a virtual grid on the screen. Let's get started by adding some components to the homepage. Make sure you're on the insert tab on the top right hand side. There's a few ways that I can add components, I can add them directly from this pane, I can also see some layouts that we can play around with and we'll be doing that when we go over adding images and directly below that I can click one button and get an element to add it to the grid. I'm going to click to add a divider, it adds it right into the next available slot. Now, while this does look quite a ways away from the header these websites are designed to be responsive, that is, Google sites will automatically resize the way your webpage displays based on the size of the monitor of the person who's looking at it. So don't be too alarmed if you see some weird spacing…
