- [Narrator] Pivot tables display your data in as much or as little detail as you prefer. Pivoting a pivot table changes how the individual data elements are displayed but you can also use totals to summarize your data as desired. In this movie, I will show you how to show and hide totals within a Sheets pivot table. My sample file is 01_07_Totals and you can find it in the chapter one folder of the exercise files collection. This workbook has two worksheets and I'm on the pivot table two sheet. This pivot table summarizes project data for four projects across the years 2016 and 2017. I have grand totals for the years of 2016 an 2017 in column F. So at the end of the row. And then I also have grand totals for each of my projects as you can see in worksheet row five. So I have grand total for the LV project in column B, for the MT project, it's in column C, and so on reading to the right. If I add another layer of organization in the rows area, then we will get a new set of subtotals…
