Connect the dots

- Great facilitative leaders have a strong ability to recognize patterns and connect the dots. This can include connecting people and issues, and also learning from the lessons of the past, and applying them to the future. Leaders who can connect the dots help create deeper team cohesion and empower their teams. Facilitative leaders see how to bridge a gap by connecting the dots between people or ideas. With people, if one colleague is working on a project and is having an issue, a facilitative leader may be able to connect them with someone else in the organization who's successfully dealt with the same issue. There's also great power in leaders doing this with ideas. Great facilitative leaders have the ability to create meaning out of seemingly disconnected pieces of information, in many cases, because they see a bigger picture.
