- [Instructor] I mentioned in a prior video that one of the problems many FP&A professionals have is they spend too much time getting data teed up in the right way. Historically, business modelers had used all different kinds of tricks and hacks to get the data to fit. They'd use Excel functions like clean and trim and left and right and mid, and a whole assortment of other text functions to get it in the right form. Well, not anymore, what we can do is we can set up an output, a model, or a forecast or a graph, if you will, and use the dynamic data table as the intermediary, as I talked about previously. We can either bring the data in manually or we can import it with Power Query, as I talked about in a prior video. Then as we bring in new data, we can simply instruct the business model to look for the new data as we would like.
