From the course: Ethical Hacking: Cryptography

What you should know

- For those who are studying to take the Certified Ethical Hacker Exam, often referred to as the CEH exam, this course contains updates to align with the latest version where the exam expanded to cover 20 different modules of information security. I'll cover everything you need to know about the 20th, or last module, Cryptography. At the time of this recording, the current version of the exam is now at version 12. It still consists of 125 questions in multiple choice format and takes up to four hours to complete. While I can't guarantee how many questions you'll see in this space, I can however guarantee that the content in this course will prepare you for all the cryptography questions you'll face. Like me, once upon a time, you may have enjoyed breaking things and putting them back together just to see how it works. Believe it or not, that genuine curiosity is a valuable skillset. We live in an ever connected world where people from different parts of the world work together. Our homes, even our medical devices, communicate with each other. There are people and entities referred to as bad actors, criminals, hostile foreign governments, and terrorists constantly trying to steal your information, even at the expense of causing physical or emotional harm. That's why I enjoy working directly in the field of cryptography every day. My skillset allows me to protect patients globally from cyber harm. In this fast-paced healthcare and medical device industry. I'm passionate about what I do day to day, and I understand the time it takes away from your family and other things that matter in order to devote to studying for premium certification. That part isn't easy. However, what I can do is ensure you are set up for success to pass your exam while gaining a deeper knowledge of cryptography in a clear, relevant, easy to retain way. Whatever your motivation may be, one of the best ways to prove your value in the field is to pass your certification exam. So who is this course for anyway? It's targeted towards anyone who's preparing to take the CEH exam or really any exam where cryptography is a focus area. It's also for anyone who has a desire to learn about cryptography, whether you're totally new or have general knowledge of it concepts. No prior experience is necessary for you to understand the materials in this course. My ultimate goal for you is to walk away with a strong sense of how to protect information and networks. I'll bridge the gap between the business and technical side to showcase how cryptography is a critical part of an effective information security plan for any organization.
