- We're staying in our interface dot DWG file and we're going to take a little look at the ribbon and the ribbon panels in this particular interface video. Now, the ribbon itself is the main fundamental part of AutoCAD that allows you to work with all the different AutoCAD commands. And by default, it's normally at the top of the screen. You can't miss it. It's that great big long bar at the top, absolutely covered in commands, icons, dropdown menus, and everything else. Now we're going to take a little look at the ribbon and how it works. I'm not going to worry too much about commands themselves and how the commands work but more how the ribbon itself works. Now, the first thing I want to show you is how you can change the ribbon appearance.
