- [Instructor] We're staying in our metalplate_002.DWG file. And what we're going to take a look at now is creating a dimension style for any dimension annotation that we might want to place on our drawing. Now I'm back in the model tab of the drawing as well. Notice the model tab here and what I'm going to do is just show you a couple of little things that you need to remember when you're creating styles and adding annotation to your drawings. I'm currently in the annotate tab on the ribbon and in the dimensions panel here you've got your dim layer override. It's always a good idea to have that set to your dimensions layer like so. And then when you're dimensioning your dimensions automatically go onto the dimensions layer and not the current drafting layer, which at the moment you can see there in my quick access toolbar is title text.
