Attain a base level of competence in the tenets of the Matrix Model and provide behavioral coaching to clients within this framework. Implement existing curricula and develop additional group material as needed. Ideally, curricula should engage clients in vocational goal setting and support individual treatment planning activities. Facilitate additional groups as necessary and maintain the overall treatment structure of the unit (teach clients about behavioral expectations, observe and report clinically significant behaviors to the Clinical Team, thus ensuring the safety of all in the treatment setting). Demonstrated skills at being an outstanding team member. This will include conduct that at all times recognizes and supports the primacy of team needs, agendas and priorities over individual ones Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in either counseling, psychology, sociology, or otherwise related field A minimum of two years of experience in the career counseling of clients with alcohol/substance abuse problems and/or clients from other disadvantaged populations Preferred Skills and Experience: Masters degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, or related field of rehabilitation psychology; or Masters degree in any counseling or psychology specialization One year of experience in the career counseling of clients with alcohol/substance abuse problems and/or clients from other disadvantaged populations Rehabilitation Counseling Masters Degree student supervised by a CRC.
