The Supply Chain Planner role will have responsibility for both tactical and strategic balancing of supply/demand/inventory for the Acetyl Chain (AC) business line portfolio. This individual must collaborate effectively across all functional groups and the broader Acetyl Chain (AC) Core with a strong drive for results. The role will require quick but effective analysis of complex problems for recommendations in line with strategic business imperatives. A strong focus on communication and the free flow of information is important for success in this role. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with high level technical skills to gain exposure to the commercial functions of the AC business line.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Alternative Sourcing, Manufacturing team, Logistics, Logistics Procurement, RPM's, FP&A and other Celanese planners to optimize both tactical (daily) and strategic (long term) supply/demand balance for AC product in line with entire Acetyl Chain strategic business imperatives
Maintain production and inventory plans based on inventory targets and strategic business imperatives
Provide input for approval of Constrained Consensus Demand Forecast based upon known supply constraints
Provide and execute recommendations that consider cost, service levels and strategic business imperatives
Work with Network Optimization resources to determine inventory targets aligned with network capability and strategic business imperatives
Maintain AC Americas SAP Material Master Data (tabs MRP1, MRP2, MRP3, MRP4)
Maintain AC Americas SAP Allocation Tables (set up, turn on, turn off)
Full back up for other AC Americas Planner
Bachelor's degree required - Engineering or Business w/ Supply Chain focus preferred
1-3 years’ experience in planning or manufacturing
High level analytical skills
SAP experience plus advanced MS Excel skills
Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical information to key stakeholders (Regional business leaders, Manufacturing leaders, Procurement, Logistics ops, Customer Service)
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively with a willingness to make decisions
Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies desirable
