Senior Mortgage Underwriter -- Remote | WFH

Position Overview

As a Wholesale Closer at our organization, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring timely loan closings by meticulously preparing and approving closing disclosures, coordinating all closing documents, and scheduling loan closings. Collaboration with various departments is key to swiftly addressing any file issues that arise.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills and a solid grasp of mortgage closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Review loan files to ensure accuracy and compliance before closing.
• Prepare and approve the Closing Disclosure accurately and promptly.
• Efficiently generate all necessary closing documents.
• Coordinate with brokers, account executives, and settlement agents to schedule closing dates.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve any file discrepancies.
• Calculate loan interest, principal payments, escrow fees, and closing costs prior to closing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in mortgage closing, specifically in wholesale closing.
• Proficiency with Encompass is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of TRID guidelines.
  
  

Education / Licensing Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  
  

Working Conditions

• Fast-paced office environment.
• Requires normal vision and hearing abilities.
• Desk work involving extended phone and computer use.
• May involve occasional bending and lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Able to work effectively with frequent interruptions.
• Minimal travel, typically less than 5%.
