Overview: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of IT Procurement to join the team. As the Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the procurement process for all IT-related goods and services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts with vendors, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products and services to support the organization's IT needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet the organization's IT requirements while maximizing cost savings and efficiency
Identifying and evaluating potential vendors, negotiating contracts, and establishing strong relationships to ensure favorable terms and conditions
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and legal teams, to understand business requirements and align procurement activities with organizational goals
Monitoring and managing vendor performance, including service level agreements (SLAs), to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards
Conducting market research and stay informed about industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes
Leading cross-functional teams and participating in strategic initiatives to support the company's overall business objectives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field; an advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT procurement or a similar role (preferably in a technology-driven organization)
Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor relationship management
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Proven track record of driving cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies
Knowledge of IT products and services, including hardware, software, cloud services, and telecommunications
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar platforms
Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus
