Senior Javascript Developer

Salary: $120-130K

Bonus: 15%

Length: 6+ months ***CONTRACT TO HIRE***

Hours: 40 hours (8:30am-5:30pm)

Location: REMOTE. MUST work CST hours.

This team develops the platform that is the backbone of our client's interactive product customization experience available to retail customers on their website and to business customers on their B2B portal.

Will work directly with the customization platform architect and be a key part in driving the continuous, end-to-end delivery of improvements and enhancements to the platform from inception and development all the way through to production

NodeJS is the front and backend development environment

Must haves:

* 8+ years of experience as a front-end developer

* 8+ years native JavaScript development experience, with a deep understanding of the differences between ES5 and ES6-ESNext, CJS, UMD, and ESM

* NodeJS as development environment

* 5+ years of experience and proficiency with HTML and CSS/CSS3 for frontend development. Experience building business critical and customer facing web applications

* Experience developing immersive product customization applications

* Knowledge and experience working with the HTML Canvas API for graphics rendering and manipulation

* 3+ years of experience in complex single page application (SPA) development, including having built, independently or as part of a team, an immersive SPA from the ground up

* 3+ years of experience working with and developing web applications running on or interacting with enterprise cloud service platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure

* Experience with PhotoShop, Illustrator, or other common photo and graphics editing

* Knowledge and experience using and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) technologies for web application and REST API development and deployment.

* Proficiency in SDLC, including coding standards, linting, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and DevOps.

* Excellent knowledge of microservices and cross-platform architecture

* Experience with agile development methodologies and software

* Experience with GitHub or similar VCS

Nice to haves:

* Experience building applications in containerized environments using Docker

* Experience in building applications for 2D canvas perspective projection is preferred.

* Experience with frontend graphics libraries such as Fabric.js, Konva, and d3.js is preferred.

* Development experience with Node.js graphics libraries such as node-canvas, Jimp, and Sharp is preferred.

* Experience with command line graphics utilities such as ImageMagick, GraphicsMagick, and Potrace is preferred.
