We are partnered with a leading Biotech company that empowers life science discovery through innovative research tools and reagents. This company is dedicated to advancing scientific research and improving health by providing high-quality products that support groundbreaking discoveries in molecular and cell biology. They are looking for a Senior Patent Agent to lead IP reviews, manage patent prosecution, and maintain the patent portfolio. This is a fully-remote opportunity.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with outside counsel on patent preparation and prosecution (US and foreign)
Review and draft freedom-to-operate opinions on third party IP
Work closely with R&D to assess patentability of new inventions and draft invention disclosures
Lead IP reviews with key internal stakeholders
Develop strategies to enhance company's patent portfolio
Propose and manage IP budgets

Qualifications

Ph.D. in life sciences field
Registered to USPTO
5+ YOE preparing and prosecuting patent applications (molecular biology or NGS experience strongly preferred)
