Job Summary:
The Project Manager will work closely with the Account, Creative, Production, IA, Biz Intelligence, PMO and Tech Departments as part of a collaborative project team. We are passionate about what we do and are looking for people that bring excitement and commitment to their work. Types of Project Management work includes website content creation, delivery and management, print brochures and Point of Sale collateral, digital brochure, photography, CGI, and video production/editorial.
We’re looking for someone who will thrive in a dynamic environment where you will manage medium-to-large content creation projects across multiple time zones and continents with various client stakeholders. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and able to orchestrate order within a highly creative environment. You are the lynchpin who motivates and collaborates with Account, Strategy, Creative, and Technology teams to deliver impactful work.
Location: Long Beach, CA office – Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Salary Range: $60-70k

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day tasks, including proactive identification of potential challenges and ensuring on-time project deliverables.
- Develop and track project schedules and budgets and monitor project scope.
- Assign individual resource responsibilities, help identify appropriate resources needed for successful project completion.
- Manage project communication and document key meetings and decisions.
- Contribute to the development of client proposals and cost estimates (e.g. SOWs, agency fees and third-party costs)
- Participate in weekly project status meetings and reporting on project status
- Strong communication skills and ability to escalate matters for Program Manager / Account Leadership related to project status and deliverables.
- Occasionally communicate directly with clients to advise on project matters
- Executing change documentation when additional out-of-scope requests made.
- Database upkeep, including shot list entry and shot list changes
- Strong knowledge of best practices in project management and ability to see big picture while managing all details.
- Keeps current on company systems and procedures, and industry trends
- Some evening and/or weekend work
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, information systems or a related field.
- 3-4 years project management experience managing timelines, budgets and people in an agency or related environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience managing workflow for medium-to-large scale content creation efforts (print, photography, CGI, video production/editorial, etc.).
- Experience in client-facing settings whether face-to-face or on conference calls.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, focus on problem solving; solutions oriented, ability to delegate tasks, as appropriate, willingness to accept accountability, etc.)
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written.
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Mac proficiency, particularly in the applications of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project
- Experience with GoogleDocs, Smartsheets and JIRA is a plus.
