Principal Economist

Principal Economist - competitive salary - Washington DC, United States (hybrid)

Hybrid, 2 days a week in office. Preference for candidates to be based in Washington DC, but open to working in other office locations such as New York City, Chicago, Boston, or San Francisco.

Chi Square Economics is working with one of America’s leading economic consulting firms who are well known for their expert litigation support services across various practice areas such as competition, finance, technology, international arbitration, and more. They are seeking an established Principal to join the antitrust and competition practice, preferably in Washington DC, but are also open to other office locations listed above.

The antitrust and competition practice provides expert testimony and litigation support globally on behalf of a variety of clientele such as law firms and government organizations, and due to their expanding case work within the practice they are seeking to hire a motivated and established Principal to join the team and bring in their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Building a network, bringing on clients and cases in the antitrust and competition space
• End-to-end project management, working with both North American and international clients in various sectors
• Building a team according to your needs
• Aligning with other experts and principals in a collaborative work environment

Required Experience

• To be considered you will have experience working on antitrust/competition cases, be able to manage projects, junior colleagues, and liaise with key external stakeholders.
• Relevant educational background in economics (Ideally a PhD)
• Track record of experience testifying in competition cases is necessary
• Having an established book of business (ideally north of $2 million)
