Plastics Process Engineer

Job Opportunity – Plastics Process Engineer in Northern Cincinnati

Our client is looking for a “hands-on” Plastics / Injection Molding Process Engineer that will be responsible for optimizing and improving their injection molding processes, which includes set up, testing, and implementing new injection molding processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

In this role you will troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the molding process and work closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and training to technicians on best practices and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with the ability to work seamlessly with team members of all departments and levels. Other requirements of this position include:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferred.
• Experience with plastics engineering and operations management, required.
• 3-5 years of practical work experience in an Injection Molding Operation.
• Have broad knowledge and experience in plastics materials, tooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing, and quality.
• An understanding of statistical analyses and techniques for process improvement and operational cost reductions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Have experience working under a QMS/ISO 9001 business quality system.
