Gallup is offering an exciting internship opportunity for those who enjoy working with young children. As a part-time early childhood teacher intern at Gallup’s Child Development Center, you will spend your afternoons teaching our associates’ young children in a fun learning environment. In our play-based classrooms, indoor water room, indoor gyms and outdoor playground, you will create engaging activities that cultivate a love for learning and social development for each child you encounter.


As an intern at Gallup, you will have the opportunity to:


  • and develop your interest in early childhood education in a professional learning environment
  • with a team of experienced teachers to support program philosophy
  • observations, plan activities and facilitate learning for young children
  • and collaborate with world-class teachers about milestone development, classroom management, parent communication and developmentally appropriate practices
  • practicum hours under the guidance of a cooperating teacher
  • professional learning books and curriculum materials
  • about strengths spotting in young children and foster their development in areas where they uniquely shine

What you need:


  • be currently (or soon to be) enrolled or recently graduated from an early childhood education program, elementary education program, Child Development Associate (CDA) program or related associate or bachelor’s degree program
  • be able to commit to at least six months; the internship has the potential to extend beyond that time
  • be able to work with a flexible afternoon schedule between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., Monday-Friday
  • be able to work between 15 and 35 hours per week during the summer (and between 10 and 25 hours per week during the school year)
  • have a passion for working with children ages 8 weeks to 5 years
  • be able to lift up to 35 pounds
  • to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
