Network Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect position requires a skilled professional with excellent communication and organizational skills. The position will perform high-level network analysis and design for BIG projects. This position is also responsible to educate and mentor other members of the Networking team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and assess quality technical solutions that solve business problems.
• Conduct architecture evaluations and design complex network solutions and statements of work.
• Design/Configure/Install/Upgrade/Troubleshoot Cisco Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Access Points.
• Coordinate with BIG’s Information Security Team on implementations and remediations.
• Design/Configure/Install/Integrate/Upgrade/Troubleshoot Virtualized and Hyperconverged systems that meet company needs.
• Provide quality assurance on projects.
• Work with team leads on Standard Operating procedures and Standard Installation Procedures for BIG Best Practices
• Support Sales staff and Sales Engineer on large projects.
• Educate others about potential products and solutions.
• Mentor and develop others.
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Qualifications, & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or 10+ (ten) years of experience designing or implementing full stack networks.
• Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
• Efficient communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Certifications: CCNP required, or CCNA and ability to obtain CCNP in 9 months. VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure certifications preferred.
