The Laundry and Uniform Manager is responsible for overall operations of laundry processing and issuing of employee uniforms.
Availability on Weekends and Holidays required.
Responsibilities
Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, training, coaching, discipline and conducting performance appraisals for direct reports.Also responsible for creating schedules and approving employees time, time off and shift changes.
Foster our employee-centric culture within the department with each individual employee through supporting, training, developing, and providing feedback for their continued growth and success in their positions.
Ensure all equipment is working properly and work swiftly towards resolutions when needed, ensuring leadership is made aware.
Assist with department purchasing, maintaining consistent availability of all cleaning products, machinery, chemical, amenities, etc.
Ensure all labor and other expenses are kept within budgeted guidelines.
Responsible for proper quality control and daily monitoring and development of staff.
As necessary, establish new standards to provide customers the highest quality of service through close communication with leadership and recommend areas in need of improvement.
Assist with weekly/monthly inventories, with timely reporting to Leadership and Accounting.
Qualifications
Supervising experience required.
One year experience in the hospitality industry required, preferably in high volume Laundry or Housekeeping operations of a hotel.
Strong computer skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote experience desirable.
