As a multi-discipline firm, Isett provides a full range of engineering and consulting services, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, geotechnical, and municipal engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, code enforcement, plan review, construction management, construction materials testing, and grant writing services to clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

We are looking to expand our team by hiring a technically proficient Landscape Designer/Planner to become integral part of our landscape architecture/planning team. Our projects range from concept design, to feasibility studies and master plans, to construction documents for parks, streetscapes, trails, commercial and institutional development. We are committed to developing long-term client relationships from project inception to completion, so this position provides broad experiences.

We are currently looking for motivated individuals with diverse experience in LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE to be considered for this position. Applicants should demonstrate strong planning, technical design, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop site analysis, concept, and master plan designs.
  • Prepare project drawings and renderings.
  • Write clear and concise thoughts on design concepts and ideas.
  • Conduct field reconnaissance/site inventory
  • Prepare report layouts and graphics.
  • Handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Prepare illustration boards for presentations.
  • Assist with community meetings and key person interviews.

Requirements

  • Candidates shall have 3 - 4+ years of experience in Landscape Architecture field;
  • Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture.
  • Plant knowledge and identification.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
  • Use of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch-up, and others a plus, but not required;
  • Ability to efficiently prepare 2-D and 3-D renderings.
  • Understanding of design development and master plan document preparation;
  • Familiar with DCNR plan requirements and processes/grants.
  • Experience preparing graphics for presentations;
  • Excellent writing skills and experience with grant writing, a plus;
  • Self-starter and motivated individual yet able to collaborate with a team;
  • Possess a high level of professionalism; and,
  • Ability to meet deadlines yet keen attention to detail.
