We are looking for a JR. Human Resources Partner to join our exceptional SGA Dental Partners team!

The HR Partner provides value-added service and develops partnerships with business leaders, line managers, and team members across an assigned region to build capabilities, plan and manage talent, and develop approaches that achieve shared organizational objectives and align with SGA Dental Partners HR policies and processes. The HRP works closely with regional management and practice-level team members, providing hands-on and strategic engagement, insight, and advice on people-related issues, including talent management, employee relations, coaching/development, conflict management, organizational development, training, leave management, and HCM-related processes. This role also requires adequate business literacy regarding the region’s financial position and short- and long-term strategic plans.

The ideal candidate should be self-driven and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working with and providing guidance to the Regional Operations Director and the practices in that region. This role enjoys building partnerships, problem-solving, and processing multiple tasks for various teams with meticulous attention to detail. It thrives in an environment with constant priorities. This highly collaborative, customer service-driven role has a strong business impact through the people and culture support function.

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Conduct planned and ad hoc meetings to stay abreast of and advise on regional activities and strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.

Employee Relations

  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to critical stakeholders and practice-level team members (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Interpret, educate, and provide support and counsel on Human Resources policies as necessary.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies, procedures, and federal and state laws.
  • Process departures and coordinate the termination workflow.
  • Manage and deliver the region’s corrective action process and plans.

Employee Development And Mentorship

  • Coach, lead, mentor, and continuously develop team members to enhance their knowledge, skills, and performance.
  • Work closely with management and practice team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Data Management And Interpretation

  • Analyze and interpret various types of employee reports (e.g., compensation, job levels, and turnover) to guide decision-making and provide proactive and strategic solutions to the region.
  • Analyze and share trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.

Talent Management

  • Manage regional headcount staffing and collaborate with regional management on staffing needs and plans.
  • Develop people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

Onboarding

  • Utilize the HCM system to facilitate a streamless team member onboarding experience.
  • Collaborate with peers to schedule and conduct monthly and as-needed virtual orientations for all new hires.
  • Lead office management of new hires through one-on-one office manager onboarding and training.

Benefits And Leave Management

  • First point of contact for regional team health benefits.
  • Administer assigned region’s Leave of Absence requests, including compliance with State law, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Track leave of absence and workman’s compensation for assigned regions; advise practice management on return-to-work matters.

Compliance

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure Company policies and procedures are adhered to and effectively communicated to team members.

Hcm

  • Data administrator for region’s people data; responsible for data integrity, confirming employee data and transactions are accurately captured in the HCM system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process team member movements (promotions, demotions, and transfers) and separations in the HCM system.
  • Utilize the HCM system for the entire employee life cycle, including onboarding, leave management, performance management, and reports (ad hoc and routine).

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assumes and executes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, facilitate projects and business processes and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledgeable in all areas of Federal and State law, compliance, reporting, etc.
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Experience with HCM, Timekeeper, and Payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Benefit Administration, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, effectively engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics for decision-making.
  • Proactive with the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong leadership skills, influencing and motivating regional team members for improvement and development.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and HRIS or HCM systems.

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant human resources experience, ideally in a fast-paced organization with a distributed workforce.
  • Understanding of DSOs (Dental Service Organizations) or similar ambulatory medical industries is desirable.
  • Professional certifications in human resources are a plus.

Physical/ Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to carry and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • This position will require sitting for long periods, walking, standing, and bending, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing and using small hand tools.
  • This position requires average to above-average visual acuity and hearing.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to read memos, computer screens, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents.
  • Must be able to travel to satellite office locations as needed.
