Hydraulics Technician

BlackRock Resources is seeking candidates for a Hydraulic Technician opportunity with our manufacturing client in Warminster, PA. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with competitive pay and excellent benefits.

Job Responsibilities

  • Disassemble hydraulic pumps, valves and cylinders, actuators, mechanical drives, assemblies, components, etc.
  • Repair hydraulic pumps, valves and cylinders, actuators, mechanical drives, assemblies, components, etc.
  • Test and inspect hydraulic pumps, valves and cylinders, actuators, mechanical drives, assemblies, components, etc.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic equipment and systems
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical circuits as they pertain to hydraulic controls
  • Read hydraulic & electrical schematics
  • Assemble hose and tube assemblies
  • Install hydraulic components onto in-house or customer equipment
  • Provide drawing review and suggestions related to part inspection and testing
  • Use measuring devices, calculators and myriad hand tools, torque tools and various other tools to service equipment
  • Perform maintenance and repair to customers equipment
  • Build prototypes, final assemblies (product in the last stage of the manufacturing process) and sub-assemblies (unit built separately that will be a part of a larger product) following verbal direction, prototype drawings and production drawings
  • Professionally interact with customers to determine service issues
  • Provide technical support, as necessary, to all departments and customers
  • Work dutifully with Sales Dept. and Production Control Supervisor to support the efficient and accurate quoting and billing of repair & service work
  • Keep chronological records of service activity to include each service step, evaluation of system or component, parts request and installation, repairs, completions, and tests/certifications
  • Meet production & manufacturing goals and KPI's as set by the Production Control Supervisor
  • Attend various safety certification classes and seminars as required
  • Shop maintenance including cleaning, organizing, trash removal, and securing valuables

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, vocational training preferred
  • Hydraulic repair experience
  • Forklift operation preferred
  • Excellent mechnical aptitude
