About the Position:The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) offers an exciting opportunity for an HR Specialist to join our team of dedicated Human Resources professionals. You will be involved in the full spectrum of recruiting and onboarding functions, including helping hiring managers develop and market job positions, sourcing candidates utilizing job boards and by attending career events, scheduling interviews, conducting pre-employment checks, making verbal and written offers, and facilitating on-site onboarding at one or more of our state-operated facilities.

The ideal candidate is: Someone who excels at managing time sensitive tasks, is customer-service focused, and highly organized. Great problem-solving skills and team-oriented thinking are essential!

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional experience in human resources management.
  • OR a master’s degree in human resources, industrial/organizational psychology, public administration, sociology, psychology, or a closely related degree and one (1) year of professional experience in human resources management.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements:

  • Willingness to fulfill job-related travel requirements with a valid driver’s license

About Us:The Human Resources Management division provides support to Central Administration and ODMHSAS state-operated facilities throughout the employee life cycle, including recruitment, selection, compensation/payroll, performance measures, retirement, and benefits.
