The Homemaker is responsible and accountable for providing Uncompromised Safety, Superior quality, Memorable Patient/Customer Experiences, and Financial Stewardship.By providing superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service by performing routine household duties, and providing companionship, transportation and/or meal preparation in the patient's home/living environment.
Primary Accountabilities
Maintain a clean and safe environment for the patient through light housekeeping tasks as requested.
Maintain accurate, legible documentation of patient care provided by following direction in the Homemaker/Companion/Sitter assignment sheet
Contributes to effective consumer relations by assisting patients, families, coworkers and other health care members to resolve expressed concerns by demonstrating a positive and helpful attitude.
Make safety recommendations and report unusual conditions, such as a change in the patient's physical condition, safety or behavior, to the Clinical Operations Manager, and implement changes with her guidance.
Promote patient independence through activities such as reading, conversation, companionship and other socialization activities, including transportation
Qualifications
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Training in topics related to human development as outlined by the Agency for Health Care Administration.
Must possess the ability to accurately follow oral and written instructions and to complete legible records.
Successful completion of Level II background screening (fingerprinting) after August 1, 2010.
