We’re looking for a Financial Operations Analyst to join the Finance team! Reporting to the Senior Financial Operations Manager, the Financial Operations Analyst will be responsible for delivering on the finance team’s day-to-day operations to meet its obligations to internal and external stakeholders. Posh is growing quickly and we are looking for support on scaling our financial operations. You will be supporting our Senior Financial Operations Manager and Sr. FP&A Analyst in executing our close cycle at a high standard being a trusted business partner for other teams to lean on. You will also support projects that make us more efficient as a team through upcoming assessment of new tools and process automation. While we are a remote-first company, 2 of our Finance team members work at our brand new, beautiful office in Downtown Boston at 33 Arch Street Floor 15.

Responsibilities

  • Executing on day-to-day accounting operations including billing, receivables, accounts payable (including vendor and invoice management), payroll, commissions and partner referrals, tax filings, etc.
  • Deliver on accounting cycle tasks including preparation of entries to our general ledger accounts in a timely, accurate, and complete manner to keep with our close calendar / reporting deadlines.
  • Support preparation of financial reporting packages and insights for our stakeholders (executive team, board of directors, investors, and banks) including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, SaaS metrics, and KPIs
  • Administer the company’s accounting policies and controls such as receipt collections and expense review, managing credit cards / budgets, revenue recognition, etc.
  • Assist with payroll processing (US & Canada), sales commissions, and referral payouts
  • Be our first line of support for Finance’s inboxes for internal and external requests such as client billing questions, vendor disputes, investor reporting, tax forms, audit confirmations, etc
  • Help complete ad-hoc operational projects as needed (e.g. enhance reporting templates, implementing tools for automation, maintaining our metrics dictionary, etc)




Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a fast-growing technology startup environment
  • You may have a Bachelor’s Degree specializing in accounting, finance, or related.
  • A growth mindset, pushing yourself to new heights especially under pressure, and a big team player attitude.
  • Track record of execution in knocking out task lists and delivering high quality work products.
  • An obsession with accuracy, exceptional attention to detail, and strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
  • A passion for all things numbers. You are a sharp analytical thinker and get excited to draw insights from what’s happening with the numbers
  • A high degree of resourcefulness and a self-starter. In a startup, we don’t always have the answers. It excites you to take on the challenge of solving new puzzles that might be uncomfortable
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities getting your daily tasks completed while supporting ongoing projects and rigorous documentation abilities
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and / or US GAAP
  • Familiarity with tools in Posh’s tech stack such as Salesforce, Trinet, QuickBooks Online, and Ramp is a plus
  • An interest in AI / SaaS / Technology business models and metrics, keeping up with market trends
  • An excitement to work in a fast-moving and growing company. You are highly adaptable and understand startup environments with a proven ability to take charge and roll your sleeves up to get the job done
