Responsibilities
As a Youth Support Worker under the guidance of our Program Director, you will play a vital role in creating a structured, professional, and nurturing environment for the youth we serve at Crossroads Programs, Inc. - Community Cares for Kids. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with a treatment team to provide strength-based, family-friendly, and trauma-informed services to youth with complex behavioral health challenges.
- Designing and delivering individual and group psycho-educational and life skills activities that empower youth to develop self-sufficiency traits, skill sets, habits, and other assets.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of youth's daily functioning to tailor services to their unique strengths and needs.
- Providing experiential, hands-on skill-building opportunities for youth to practice and develop valuable life skills.
- Serving as a mentor and driver, offering transportation services as needed and reinforcing daily living and socialization skills.

- Medication Administration: Administer medications as required, following protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology with one year of experience in direct care for youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting.
- High School diploma holders with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience will also be considered.
- A valid driver's license with a clean standing over the past 6 months is required.
- Physical & Drug Screening, Criminal Record History, FBI, and Child Abuse History Clearances.
- All new hires are required to successfully complete Safety Crisis Management (SCM) certification within one week of hire.
