Driver

The driver is responsible for transporting casino and resort guests and employees using company vehicles in a safe, reliable, courteous and efficient manner.. Performs routine safety check of the vehicle at the beginning of each shift. Ensures that the vehicle is always clean, both inside and outside. Operate vehicles safely and in compliance with all motor vehicle laws and speed limits. Operates company vehicles ranging from regular vehicle vans to commercial 15 passenger shuttle buses over specified route or routes on a time schedule pickup, transport passengers, and drop off at destination; demonstrate appropriate public relation skills in public interactions.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

  • Establishes good guest relation skills.
  • Greets and assists guest/s.
  • Travels to requested pick up locations to transport guests to and to and from the casino, resort, airport, and other approved destinations.
  • Completes a pre-inspection and filling/checking all information on inspection sheet on vehicle prior to departure.
  • Communicates appropriately and acknowledges all information given by the dispatcher.
  • Acknowledges and follows the set department standard operational procedures.
  • Complies with all traffic regulations.
  • Assists passengers and their baggage/s.
  • Reports delays of events, traffic citations, incidents, and accidents.
  • Advises passengers to the safety issues and advice to be seated and sit in an orderly manner while on vehicle/s.
  • Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger’s comfort.
  • Assists in the loading and unloading of baggage in baggage compartment/s.
  • Makes minor repairs or replacements to vehicle and changes tires if needed.
  • Always maintains cleanliness of vehicle/s.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
  • Ability to drive cars of all types and styles (automatic and manual transmission)
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating days off.
  • Must be able to stand/walk 100% of shift.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
  • Obtain and retain required license(s).
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.


EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Previous supervisory experience with increasing level of responsibilities.
  • Minimum of two (2) years driving experience.
  • Valid Driver License and no traffic citations
  • Preferred ability to safely operate passenger vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.


Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License

Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
