The Role:

The Director of Global Professional Management is responsible for the overall growth and development of the North American Global Professional Group. This role is accountable for delivering specialized support and coaching to CPI’s Global Professional Managers (GPMs) and creating and managing growth opportunities and implementing development paths for our Global Professional Instructors (GPIs)

What You Get To Do Everyday:

  • Provide direct coaching and mentoring to North American GPMs
  • Provide indirect coaching and mentoring to GPIs
  • Maintain individual growth and development plans for all team members
  • Manage Global Professional Group growth and development initiatives
  • Oversee GPI growth and improvement committees
  • Ensure that department-wide talent management initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Partner with Vice President of Training and other team leaders to establish departmental decision making and strategy
  • Advocate on behalf of the Training department, cross-departmentally and company-wide, on decision making and growth initiatives
  • Conduct presentations and training
  • Maintain proficiency in CPI programs and updates
  • Attend quarterly instructor meetings, annual staff days, and other professional development activities
  • Conduct special consultations, seminars, and presentations as needed
  • Advise the Training team and executive staff of emerging trends and issues related to industries served by CPI programs
  • Plan, organize, allocate resources, and lead the operational activities of a function
  • Lead, develop, and mentor team members in the functional areas
  • Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned

You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services, communication, or a related field
  • Eight years or more of management experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent teambuilding skills with the ability to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to delegate responsibilities and authority effectively and to encourage individuals to decide how they will accomplish their goals and resolve issues
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, negotiation, writing, speaking, and listening skills
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability. Ability to learn and utilize technical learning
  • Ability to prioritize time management skills efficiently
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment

We'd Love to See:

  • Two years or more of experience working with and training Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) courses
  • Management experience in a training environment
