As the North America Director of Finance for our dynamic malt business units, you'll spearhead the financial strategy and operations across North America. This pivotal role encompasses managing daily financial transactions, delivering incisive financial analysis of operational outcomes, assessing the fiscal implications of new business opportunities, and innovating our processes for heightened cost-effectiveness and added value.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Strategic oversight of the North America Finance team (accounting, tax planning, strategy, and compliance).
- Lead a proactive, efficient accounting team to support sales, procurement, and operations.
- Lead and develop finance and accounting staff, fostering leadership skills.
- Provide technical accounting interpretations and guidance to the operations group; increase understanding of financial considerations amongst key stakeholders in the operations and sales groups for each business unit.
- Provide timely financial analysis and evaluate business unit performance and provide insights into the operations of the business.
- Evaluate and execute significant contracts working with corporate legal and risk advisory groups.
- Revisit key processes to automate, accelerate, and improve financial reporting while maintaining effective internal controls; establish and maintain processes for delivery of key operating and accounting metrics; and integrate geographically diverse financial operations.
- Drive a process improvement mindset across the accounting team, leveraging project management and change management skills to deliver results including better utilization of software and tools.
- Evaluate and value potential growth and acquisition projects utilizing financial models and projections. Work closely with the FP&A team Work across the finance and operations team to assist in creating financial and business strategies.
- 10-15 years of diverse experience in public accounting and manufacturing industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Analytical, inquisitive mindset, challenging conventional approaches.
- Proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Deep understanding of internal controls, risk management, foreign currency, and commodity risk management.
- Willingness to travel (10-15%) across North America.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA required.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics (D365) software systems strongly preferred.
- Advanced skill level in MS Excel and Word is a must.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Great Plains.
- Deep experience analyzing business and accounting trends, reporting findings, and presenting recommendations for improvement to management.
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing and distribution sectors with multiple locations, accounts and reporting requirements.
- Commercial acumen and professional approach appropriate to a corporate environment.
- Proven planning and time management skills and ability to prioritize both strategic and day to day requirements.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to act in a consulting capacity.
- Flexible standard hours to accommodate international time zones.
- Ability to work stationary or stand for prolonged periods.
- Frequent use of office productivity tools.
- Requirement for Personal Protective Equipment in manufacturing and distribution sites.
- Comfort in an open office and collaborative workspace.
