Role Description: The Director of Electrical Engineering will play a crucial role within the senior leadership team, providing vision and leadership in the Electrical Engineering Discipline. This position will support the company’s strategic initiatives, offer design-focused thought leadership, and enhance the firm’s community presence.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate to develop overall design concepts and presentation strategies
Provide creative and process leadership to multiple design teams
Set design vision and standards for staff and clients across various sectors
Demonstrate strong character, strategic vision, and effective team leadership
Actively participate in professional organizations at local and national levels
Collaborate across offices and with management to align design with business goals and core values
Summary Of Responsibilities:
Promote the firm’s mission and vision through design leadership
Establish design strategies aligned with client expectations
Implement and supervise design processes across projects of all scales
Develop firm-wide design approaches and ensure high-quality outcomes
Guide design presentations and oversee project evolution

Support strategic planning and budgeting for practice growth
Foster a culture of design excellence and inclusivity
Lead recruitment, mentorship, and performance evaluations
Engage in community and professional organization leadership
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
15+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design
PE certification required; licensed in Tennessee preferred
Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering Discipline and client expectations
Experience in diverse engineering practice markets
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office suite
Effective communication, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
Familiarity with sustainable design principles and building codes
