Your Mission:

The Director of Information Technology and Delivery Accounting has oversight over accounting and reporting for those areas, including Shared Services across the Ilitch family of companies. The Director is responsible for managing the processing of activities for month end close and preparing related financial statements for key stakeholders. Using independent judgment, performs advanced and specialized accounting analysis, usually involving complex and confidential data. Obtains and analyzes financial information to prepare reports, statements and recommendations for senior management. Assists Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with development of budgets and analysis of budget to actual results. Partners with FP&A to provide financial support to Chief Information Officer (CIO). Provides leadership and direction to colleagues responsible for all aspects of accounting, including day to day transactions, period end close, financial reporting and adherence to policies, procedures and internal controls.


How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Directs accounting over delivery and IT, including period end close and reporting, analysis of actual results against budget and billing shared services.
  • Partners with Leaders in IT organization on accounting for all revenue/expense, capital spending and internally developed software
  • Track spending for major projects and analyze actual vs. budget expense
  • Coordinate with third party to manage accounting for point-of-sale system hardware
  • Owns the process of billing and tracking IT shared services to other entities.
  • Oversight for billing and collections of all delivery revenue and expense; work with third party delivery providers to reconcile transactions and resolve issues.
  • Reviews account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and ensures they are completed timely, accurately and reconciling items are resolved.
  • Provides accounting and financial support to senior level management over assigned areas, including analysis of results.
  • Assist FP&A with annual budget process for IT and delivery, including shared services.
  • Leads and supervises a team of accounting staff while providing coaching, development and support to them in carrying out job responsibilities and accomplishing goals of the department.
  • Supports annual financial audits for Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc (LCE) by preparing required reports and analysis for IT and delivery.
  • Acts in accordance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and internal controls; recommends new/changes to current policies and procedures as needed.
  • Identifies and leads process improvement initiatives as well as cost savings opportunities.
  • Assures all financial statements and reports are accurately generated, analyzed, and submitted to VP of Accounting within a set deadline for everything period end.
  • Assists with ad hoc reporting and analysis when required.


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration with a thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of accounting experience and minimum three (3) years’ experience managing staff
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills including coaching, disciplinary, mentoring, training and directing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnerships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints.
  • High level of problem solving and analytical skills; ability to work through detailed financial data but also see “big picture” and draw conclusions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience/knowledge of financial systems.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior experience with a retail organization
  • MBA, CPA or CMA designation
  • Experience with Oracle or other similar ERP and Financial reporting/budgeting/consolidation system.
