Digital Media and Production Program Assistant

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

The individual will lead the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs’ digital content production efforts. The individual would oversee the development of visual and audio materials critical to advancing Bureau public diplomacy initiatives. This individual would also assist in the evaluation and assessment of digital public diplomacy content as part of a broader effort to refine and bolster the effectiveness of Bureau strategic communication initiatives. The individual will assist the Bureau to grow its current operations while still maintaining the development of the consistent product expected by Bureau leadership and embassy personnel. This position reports directly to the Regional Digital Media Coordinator who exercises general control over the work of the position by establishing overall objectives for the assignment in coordination with lateral teams and office leadership.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for PD Digital Media and Production Program Assistant: 122,343.00

Pay commensurate with experience.

PD Digital Media and Production Program Assistant Responsibilities Include:

  • Leads in the creation of audio and visual digital media content on a range of Bureau policy issues;
  • Supports the development of Bureau-led digital diplomacy and digital strategic communication campaigns;.
  • Assists with occasional photography or videography requests from Bureau leadership;
  • Aids in the collection and management of relevant social media metrics and design of campaign effectiveness measures;
  • Supports the management of Bureau-led social media account.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

PD Digital Media and Production Program Assistant Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in media production, communications, journalism, or related field

OR

  • 1 to 3 years of experience using and managing social media audio and visual content production
  • Requires an active SECRET Security Clearance
  • Efficient skills with audio and visual digital content tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, Canva, and/or Final Cut
  • Working knowledge of photography, videography, and design principles;
  • Demonstrated capability to independently produce digital content products under tight deadlines;
  • Proven capacity to develop and implement a content strategy for an institutional social media account.
  • Able to identify, and advocate for, alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Working knowledge of social and digital media analytics and performance indicators
  • Able to set priorities and work in a group environment or independently.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
