Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst/Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis and DBA skills, with extensive experience in SQL Server, MySQL, Pentaho, ETL processes, and RedHat Linux. This role requires a proactive and collaborative individual capable of working independently and advising the tech lead on data-related aspects of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis to support project requirements and decision-making processes.
- Manage and maintain SQL Server and MySQL databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using Pentaho to ensure accurate and timely data integration.
- Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and optimize data models and database structures.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Provide recommendations and insights to the tech lead on data-related aspects of the project.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand and address their data needs and requirements.
- Participate in UAT, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Contribute to the development of additional features and enhancements based on user feedback and evolving requirements.
- Document data processes, configurations, and best practices for future reference and training purposes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst and Database Administrator.
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server and MySQL.
- Experience with Pentaho and ETL processes.
- Solid understanding of RedHat Linux.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with UAT and production deployment processes.
- Familiarity with payroll systems or financial applications is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
