Cost Engineer

Allied Resources is looking for a Cost Engineer for an exciting Full-time opportunity with a innovative energy company in the Greater Chicago area. This position provides an excellent compensation, bonus potential, and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and more!

A Day in the Life:

• Provide cost engineering support to key team members, including the director, managers, project managers, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley audits, analyze project actuals and forecasts, and identify and resolve budget and authorization issues.
• Develop, monitor, and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial risks for transmission, sub-station, and distribution projects, providing detailed variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly reports on project reauthorization risk, forecast accuracy, and CIAC analysis; review assets and ensure proper Capital & Expense classification.
• Utilize Financial Management systems reports to support budgeting, cost management, and earned value performance.

The Wish List:

• 1-5 years of experience w/ financial/ cost/ project management software
• MS Office Suite experience
• Bachelors Degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Project Management
