Position Overview

The Star Tribune is seeking a highly motivated and creative Consumer Marketing Intern to join our subscription marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about consumer behavior, digital marketing, and making a real impact in a fast-paced environment.

As a Consumer Marketing Intern, you will work closely with our subscription to develop and execute consumer-centric marketing strategies. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing, including subscriber reward programs, email campaign development, and consumer engagement at our State Fair booth. This internship will provide valuable insights into consumer behavior and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing our subscriber rewards program, including setting up of landing pages for our subscriber contests.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Assist in updating Star Tribune brand assets.
  • Help where needed with subscription marketing efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in consumer marketing.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in consumer behavior, digital marketing, and brand management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

This internship will run from , 40 hours/week with Tuesday – Thursday in person at the Star Tribune headquarters office in downtown Minneapolis. This internship is compensated at $18.00 per hour.
