Position Title: Compliance Analyst

Department: Payment Operations

Reports To: Director of Compliance

Job Type: Full-time, Hourly

Location: Remote

FLSA Status: Non- Exempt

Overview: The Compliance Analyst will work with Payment Operations Merchant Compliance team to provide regulatory and operational support. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining companywide compliance-related communication and activities, adhering to compliance, fraud, risk management, and safeguards guidelines. You will assist in the facilitation of successful annual payments related audits, as well as ongoing merchant compliance oversight. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a proven track record of success in compliance related functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and annual review of compliance related policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and regular maintenance.
  • Assist in the escheatment process, including identification and reporting of unclaimed properties.
  • Assist in the development of audit plans, conduct fieldwork, and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external audits.
  • Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Support with sponsor bank, card brand network, vendor, and customer due diligence assessments.
  • Support business units in researching and providing compliance knowledge.
  • When required, work individually or alongside project management team on new development or enhancement projects.
  • Assist in communication with relevant departments and clients, compliance rules as outlined by respective regulatory boards.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related experience is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance related work, preferably within the payment processing and/or insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of payment processing, ACH, escheatment processing and regulatory requirements across all payment rails is preferred.
