Job Description

We are seeking Civil and Concrete Installer to perform the job duties in a communications and industrial environment. This position requires travel on a regular basis within the Eastern part of the United States.

Must maintain an acceptable driving record required, pass annual drug tests (random testing required for certain customers), and maintain an acceptable background check in accordance with company and customer requirements and local laws/regulations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

As part of the civil crew, this position will support the team in preparing sites for various installations.

Civil Installer Responsibilities

  • Load and unload construction material, prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards, hand grading, and digging holes.
  • Assist in running pipe, setting safety cones, installing safety tape, and erecting barriers.
  • Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
  • Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary.
  • Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding.
  • Remove, fill, or compact earth.
  • Perform site clean-up.
  • Assist with creation of daily reports.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and maintain communications with other team members.
  • Experience with reading blueprints, site layout, and meeting project deliverables.

Concrete Installer Responsibilities

  • Designing and building forms, setting up the forms and pouring, reinforcing, spreading, and smoothing concrete.
  • Experience in the construction or renovation of buildings, roads or other civil or commercial infrastructure
  • Knowledgeable and experience with the use of power and hand-powered tools
  • Knowledgeable and experience following blueprints and working with rebar to reinforce concrete or masonry construction

Essential Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 3-year apprenticeship under journeymen workers.
  • 2,000 hours of hands-on experience.
  • Ability to perform strenuous tasks with your hands.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials
  • Ability to measure accurately and read specifications.
  • Maintain open and positive communication (both in verbal and written form) with fellow employees, departments, and customers.
  • Work well in a team environment as well as independently and be a self-starter, and be willing to travel between offices, service locations, and customer sites.
  • Responsible for a safe and clean work environment.
  • Courteous and respectful to clients and their workspace.
  • Maintain OSHA training certification as required.
  • Learn materials associated with different projects and keep onsite material organized.
  • Learn skills necessary to complete tasks associated with different types of projects.
  • Proper use of tools.
  • MS Teams/Shifts for Scheduling, SOW’s and additional job-related files.
  • MS Outlook (email).
  • Maintain communication for daily tasks and material needs.
