Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Specialist to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our laboratory equipment, which is critical to our research and development (R&D) efforts. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in calibration and service engineering, particularly with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and other specialized laboratory equipment. Familiarity with software such as Chameleon and Empower, and a strong understanding of data integrity and calibration standards (USP and NIST 210/211 GMP) are crucial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration on approximately 500 pieces of laboratory equipment, ensuring adherence to monthly targets.
  • Support calibration activities for new equipment installations and ensure timely completion of tasks within the R&D department.
  • Utilize Track Wise to manage calibration records and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Work with HPLC, GC, and other specialized equipment, applying expertise to maintain optimal performance.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with USP and NIST 210/211 GMP standards during calibration processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve calibration goals and address any equipment-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of calibration activities and results.

Required Experience And Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years in calibration or service engineering, specifically with laboratory equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in calibrating HPLC, GC, and other specialized laboratory equipment.
  • Experience with Chameleon and Empower software.
  • Strong understanding of data integrity and calibration standards (USP and NIST 210/211 GMP).
  • Proficient in using Track Wise for managing calibration records.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet monthly calibration targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: Certification in Calibration Technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in an R&D setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and document calibration activities.
