Our client is seeking a Financial Business Integration Manager to join their Finance and Business Integration team. This position influences the launches of global business initiatives in consumer products, digital initiatives, merchant, operations, logistics, payments, and cloud computing.
Successful candidates will have at least five years of experience in financial processes, project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing. They should have a passion for process improvement, strong ownership skills, and the ability to enhance partnerships between Accounting and business/IT groups. Sufficient accounting experience to support project launch teams in incorporating necessary financial reporting and internal control elements is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand accounting and corporate finance
- Support internal and external business partnerships
- Deliver medium to large-scale projects from initiation to delivery
- Gather requirements, write functional specifications, prioritize features, and drive technical scoping
- Drive process improvement by collaborating with stakeholders
- Ensure consistent execution of accounting functions, driving adoption of global standards
- Identify and mitigate risks
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience using data and metrics for improvements
- Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience managing accounting process improvement/technology projects with aggressive schedules
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Workday
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or Accounting certification (CMA or CPA)
- PMP Certification
- Experience managing expectations, deliverables, and conflict resolution in accounting projects
- Experience in requirement gathering and testing in distributed systems
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Experience in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up
- Strong analytical skills
