Associate Designer, Sweaters

About the role

The Associate Designer, Sweaters is responsible for a variable amount of design, development and selection of materials, silhouettes, colors and patterns for the LOFT Sweaters category. The Associate Designer will assist in ensuring that the aesthetic design, color inspiration, print direction and trims are translated into production ready standards. Supports the Product Life Cycle (PLC) to ensure the product integrity standards, quality, on time delivery and best business practices are achieved.


The impact you can have

  • Serve as liaison between Design, Product Development, Technical Design and Merchandising to ensure information flow is accurate throughout the development process, and managing workflow within the Sweaters team
  • Manage technical package process, to include drawings, measurements, and design detail specifications, as well as hand-off to Product Development
  • Create new sketches and CADed sketches using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and hand sketching
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the line (silhouettes, yarns/fabrics and design details) and responsible for tracking changes/additions


You’ll bring to the role

  • 3-4 years’ experience in fashion design
  • Prior experience and knowledge with Sweaters, including stitch, yarn and knit down developmen
  • BA, Associates degree, or equivalent in Design
  • Strong fashion, color and print sense

  • The target salary range for this role is: $65k-$72k

This position works in a hybrid model, with 3-4 days per week worked in the Times Square Tower location and 1-2 days per week worked remotely.
