We are currently seeking an Associate Business Development Specialist (BDS) for our Florida Region, supporting a territory from Sarasota to Naples. The Associate will learn to provide agency management, progressive growth of revenue and profitability in the assigned territory. The selected candidate will partner with underwriters to build agency relationships and establish agency goals.
Key Responsibilities Include
Learning to act as a marketing representative for assigned agencies, and will make decisions in accordance with risk selection and pricing parameters based on authority level.
Managing and maintaining all agency relationships and business goals in the assigned territory.
Making recommendations for agent appointments and terminations.
Assisting with marketing, training, and deploying FCCI products and services.
This is a field-based role and the candidate must reside within the territory. The ideal candidate will be located in the Ft. Myers, FL area and have marketing and commercial lines underwriting experience plus strong agency relationships in the territory.

Qualifications
Experience
Required
Bachelors degree; NOTE: Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
Two or more years of commercial, multi-line, P&C marketing and underwriting experience
Solid working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, underwriting, and pricing.
Solid knowledge of the organization and its products and services.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Preferred
Industry designations, such as CIC, CPCU or other designations that relate to the insurance industry preferred
