POSITION PURPOSE

The Administrative Assistant for Admission is responsible for offering support for the Admission Operations team including but not limited to supporting daily, group and athletic visit coordination, completing application verifications, uploading data sets, performing prospective student data entry, and conducting community outreach for the Office of Admission.

Compensation

Successful applicants can expect to start at $43,705 per year.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide support for the Application, Visit and Travel Coordinators and Operations Lead.
  • Assist with application materials verification and release of Admission decisions.
  • Perform data entry of counselors and prospective students into a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Coordinate data set uploads received from testing agencies and lead-generation vendors; including primary responsibility of importing test scores: SAT/ACT/AP.
  • Manage import and credential documents.
  • Provide backup support for all other clerical staff, including answering incoming calls, and providing back-up for the Visit Coordinator and during travel season, and assisting with credentials during application season.
  • Provide coverage for the front desk when student staff are not available.
  • Provide clerical support to Director of Admission Operations and Admission Officers, and assists other office staff as projects require.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be able to explain and/or demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Specifically,

  • Computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and the ability to learn departmental software systems.
  • Strong clerical and time management skills.
  • Analytical, organized, and judicious in performing a variety of tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately and on deadline.
  • Ability to positively and actively contribute to the College’s core values of diversity, equity, inclusion and antiracism.
  • Willingness to take initiative and seek additional projects as time allows.
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential information.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree OR 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in higher education.
