Adjunct Instructor - K-12 Education Leadership Programs

The Department of Education Leadership, Management and Policy, within the College of Human Development, Culture and Media at Seton Hall University, invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach courses in K-12 education leadership graduate programs. The Department seeks student-centered individuals who value excellence in teaching and commit to diversity, equity, inclusion, and collaboration. Duties And Responsibilities


  • Teach one to two courses per semester
  • Teach hybrid and online modalities. Hybrid courses include a mixture of in-person and synchronous and asynchronous online learning. In-person meetings occur on four days across two weekends, from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Online courses include synchronous and asynchronous learning throughout the semester.


The Department of Educational Leadership, Management and Policy is dedicated to serving and developing aspiring and current leaders. Graduates pursue leadership roles in a variety of organizations, such as public and private P-12 schools, higher education institutions, law enforcement agencies, and non-profit and policy organizations. The Department offers a robust portfolio of certificate, master’s, educational specialist, and doctoral programs. Each program is individualized to meet students’ strengths and professional goals. Required Qualifications


  • Expertise and ability to teach in areas related to K-12 education leadership. Areas include, but are not limited to, law; policy; finance; technology; curriculum; leadership; organizational theory; and, qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methodologies
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Earned doctorate in K-12 education leadership or related field


Desired Qualifications


  • Minimum of one year teaching at the college level
  • Demonstrated record of teaching excellence
  • Demonstrated record of leadership experience
  • Experience with learning management systems such as Blackboard and Canvas
