Accounting Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized leader to join our growing team as Accounting Manager. In this role, you will lead many aspects of accounting for our multinational organization spanning across the EU, Switzerland and US, assisting month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and implementing efficient processes and controls. The company has transitioned our global accounting operations to Netsuite and this role will be integral to continue roll out of system enhancements and adoption. You will utilize your existing accounting skills and knowledge, learn new skills, and play a key role in guiding the growth of the accounting department.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide accounting leadership and establish effective and efficient accounting processes to ensure conformance with applicable policies, local compliance, and US GAAP.
• Support day to day operations including: Revenue, AR, AP, financial reporting, cost, and inventory accounting, compliance, controls and processes, financial reporting, and treasury.
• Assist with the research of technical accounting issues and apply proper accounting treatment as required, with a particular focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition and
• Support both month and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, deferred revenue schedules, accrual schedules, and general journal entries.
• Provide company leadership with timely information in order to drive effective and strategic decision making, and enable key company decisions.
• Aid financial audits and assist with investor reporting requirements.
• Lead key external relationships such as any offshore accounting and auditors.
• Assist with establishing and updating accounting policies, procedures and processes.
• Partner with Controller, International Tax Director and outside teams to manage tax and business compliance activities.
• Perform special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting, Finance, and in support of growth initiatives as needed.
• Ensure the timely reporting and consolidation pursuant to ASC 810 of all monthly financial information.
• Assist the Controller in the daily international banking requirements.
• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
• Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

• 6+ years working as an accountant, auditor, or similar accounting-focused role
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field
• Desire to “grow with the business”, think strategically as well as tactically, and seek new challenges.
• Highly motivated and detail oriented
• Mix of experience at both earlier stage and large established companies.
• Desire to work closely with all departments and geographies within the business.
• Familiarity with US GAAP Accounting Principles and IFRS
• Deep experience with NetSuite ERP, or experience migrating from one ERP to another.
• Public accounting experience, Big 4 accounting firm preferred
• CPA required
• Experience in either Software as a Service (SaaS), subscription, commercial hardware or IoT businesses.
